Me

Hi! I'm Natalie, I'm in my second year in Environmental Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a competitive surfer and beach lifeguard, I am a lifelong owner of wetsuits. I have a few old wetsuits in my garage at home that are not being used, which lead me to think of how we can reuse neoprene.

I envision a diversion from excess trash in landfills and the promotion of recycled and reusable goods rather than products that are industrially produced. I believe that the wetsuits can serve an additional purpose if not otherwise sold or thrown away, and this project is a meaningful way for me to discover more about circular production systems and how they can relate to sustainable business practices.
